there’s a desperate necessity for peace in a community like ferguson where specific people are targeted for stalking, profiling, and death. i can only imagine that state of affairs, as so many of you can only imagine it. i don’t for a minute think “ferguson is now¬†working with the police”. it’s a much more complex situation. the black community there is certainly not a monolith. and the images of the march with the black officer from the highway patrol says many things to people that it doesn’t necessarily mean. if you’re going to write about it, write about it well.

don’t turn this moment into useless and momentary propaganda.
